The Nigerian billionaire, Ned Nwoko, recently declared that the presidential aspirant under the platform of the Labour Party won’t be able to assume the presidential seat in the forthcoming presidential elections. Mr. Ned Nwoko disclosed this during an interview with BBC Igbo.

Instead of running for the presidency, Ned Nwoko suggested that Peter Obi would prove useful as Nigeria’s Minister of Economy owing to his dexterity in business.

The billionaire said, “Peter Obi is a good man and has impressed me.” When he came to London, he came alone.

He’s a capitalist and a big-time player in the business world, and he’s conservative in the way he handles things. ”

Ned Nwoko revealed that several factors would play out to affect Obi’s victory even though he has the support and love of most Nigerian youths.

He opined that the Labour Party (LP) lacked the necessary structures to produce a president.

Mr. Ned added that for victory to be sure, Obi must have the majority of the Labour Party in the House of Representatives and Senate and this is not the case as it seems today.

He also reacted to Obi’s resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), requesting that he consider returning to the party as they seem more promising.
