The Archbishop of the Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma has called out President Muhammadu Buhari for the worsening security situation in the country.
While speaking in Enugu during a pre-Synod press conference, Archbishop Emmanuel decried the low supply of foodstuffs in the country due to the activities of Fulani Herdsmen in some parts of the country.
According to him, he said that people are afraid to go to farms and this is very deadly for a country that depends solely on agriculture.
Speaking further, he asked why is it so hard for a Government that went to Kenya to apprehend Nnamdi Kanu to catch the terrorists dwelling in Nigeria and disturbing the peace of the country.
Archbishop Emmanuel, however, noted that the Buhari-led administration is not doing enough in terms of keeping insecurity in check in the country, adding that the recent attack on Worshippers across the country is also another malady to worry about.
He, however, urges Nigerians not to give up on this country, adding that come 2023, the people should come out on election Day and change the narrative.
