A renowned Professor of Gynaecology and Pediatrics, Professor Obi Nwosu, who is equally the Chief Medical Director of Chimex Specialist Hospital Nnewichi, Nnewi North LGA, Anambra State, has given multiple reasons why he decided to Mobilize members of the Nnewi Zone of the Nigeria Medical Association for a condolence visit to the family of the late former Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Harry Oranezi. In his words: “”First of all, Harry is a professional colleague,a Medical Doctor. Secondly, he is my Mentee, thirdly he is representing us in other aspects of life which is politics.
As the Physician Of The Year For Nnewi Zone, a colleague has died and it’s only proper for me to lead my colleagues here on a condolence visit and fourthly my wife is one of the Organizers of this Burial because co- incidentally, Harry is lucky to have picked his wife when he was the Master of Ceremony during my own Traditional/ Wedding Ceremony.
All these four co-incidences are not for nothing. They are for values. That’s why I’ve been here since yesterday.””
On the impact he left behind, he replied:”
The Bishop even said it that on many occasions he has anchored the Synod Programs and sponsored many Medical Outreaches.
As a Member of the Federal House of Representatives, he was the voice of the Doctors and the the masses. As a Pediatrician, he saved the lives of so many children and sometimes put his life on the line when treating contagious diseases.
There were times when he donated his own blood. He was a man full of actions and activities and he touched the lives of so many people. We’ll see what we can do to immortalize him. Thank you.””
