Liverpool’s prolific forward, Mohamed Salah, headlines Egypt’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, as announced by the team’s Portuguese manager, Rui Vitoria. The record seven-time champions, Egypt, are looking to reclaim glory in a tournament where their last triumph dates back to 2010. In the 2021 final, Egypt suffered defeat at the hands of Senegal, making Vitoria cautiously optimistic about the team’s chances.
Joining Salah in the attacking lineup is Al-Ahly forward Mahmoud Kahraba, forming a potent offensive duo. However, notable absentees from the squad include Abdallah Said of Pyramids, Mahmoud Hamdy from Zamalek, and Al Ahly duo Hussein El Shahat and Mohamed Magdy.
