A 9-year-old love story has come to a sad end after Ifeoluwa set her fiancé, Boluwatife Bamidele ablaze and also took her own life by drinking poison.

According to a report by Bellnews Online, Ifeoluwa had known Boluwatife Bamidele for good nine years and in October 2021, Bamidele engaged her and then travelled to Cairo, Egypt in search for greener pastures.

Bamidele returned to Nigeria to give his fiance a birthday gift, but it seems his coming later turned out to be the end of his life.

Reports have it that Ifeoluwa had a heated argument with Bamidele as she accused him of infidelity, and that he is having an affair with another woman which has reportedly produced a child while she is yet to have one.

Both lovers couldn’t control the argument; Ifeoluwa set their house at Koka, near Osogbo on fire and before neighbours could break the door open to rescue Bamidele, he had already sustained injuries from the burn which led to his death.

Ifeoluwa ran away after the incident and when she got to Ilesha, she contacted her lawyer. Before her lawyer could get to her, Ifeoluwa had already poisoned herself.

In the suicide note, she said she really loved her fiancé even to the point of her death.

Ifeoluwa’s lifeless body was found at the hospital lying at the morgue and the brother of Bamidele, Bode confirmed that the body was indeed Ifeoluwa’s body.
