EFCC Apprehends 4 Siblings, Alongside 30 Others, for Alleged Internet Fraud in Enugu

The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has made significant arrests in its crackdown on internet fraud, nabbing four brothers identified as Egbo Chukwuebuka, Egbo Favour Chibuike, Egbo Ifeanyi Francis, and Egbo Victor, along with 30 additional suspects.

The arrested siblings were accompanied by a group of individuals comprising Great Eze, Ani Callistus, Ekpe Chigbo, Eze Eric, Nnaemeka Gabriel, George Tochukwu, Uche Divine, Chiamelie Ede, Enenta Ebube, Treasure Ugwueze Osinachi, Ejiakor John Chidiebere, Kingsley Dugwu Olisa, Ugwuanyi Bright Ekpere, and others.

According to EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, the all-male suspects were apprehended in an intelligence-driven sting operation conducted on Friday across various locations within Enugu State.

During the operation, authorities seized mobile phones and several luxury cars from the suspects as potential evidence.

Once investigations are completed, the suspects will face charges in court as part of the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and financial fraud.
