The Anambra State Police Command has made significant strides in curbing the wave of violence plaguing Ihiala with the arrest of two key leaders of the cult groups responsible for recent killings in the area.

In a targeted operation led by the Police Crack Squad deployed to Ihiala under the directive of Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, to ensure the safety of residents during and after the festive season, two suspects were apprehended. Chitana Oha, alias “Kill and Bury,” aged 25, and Emmanuel Ifeanyi Okonkwo, known as “Good and Bad,” aged 24, were captured at their hideout in Okija within the same local government area.

The Commissioner of Police, determined to quash the spate of cult-related violence in Ihiala, as he previously did in the capital city of Awka, has instructed the Crack Squad to intensify efforts against the cultists and dismantle their operations. He reassured the public that their security remains the utmost priority of the Command.
