A High Court sitting in Kebbi State has asked Prince Uche Secondus to continue in his position as the People’s Democratic Party National Chairman.

Justice Nusirat Umar, a Vacation Judge gave the order today Wednesday 26th August, 2021, in Birnin Kebbi.

While ruling on the suit with No. KB/AC/M. 170/2021, the Judge said she was satisfied after reading the respondent’s affidavit asking for an interim order to be granted on the suspension of Secondus pending the hearing and final judgement.

She ordered that the National leader should continue to exercise all constitutional powers of the office of the Chairman of PDP as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the Constitution of the People’s Democratic Party.

The implication of this ruling means that Secondus will remain as the Chairman of his party pending the final determination of the applicant’s motion on notice.

It could be recalled that few days ago, a High Court sitting in Rivers State had suspended the embattled PDP leader from party activities and had ordered him to hand over to his Deputy of which he obeyed while stating that his Lawyer will file a suit in another court against the ruling.
