Bellnewsonline.com reports that Labour Party is protesting non-usage of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in the conduct of the March 18 governorship election in Nkanu East Local Government Area (LGA) while the PDP is demanding that the result should be declared in their favour.

Meanwhile, the Labour Party has submitted a petition to INEC in respect of the results from Nkanu East LGA.

A Labour Party supporter, Shepherdman Chijioke Iyioku, alleged that the PDP “rigged immaturely”.

He wrote on Facebook: “This is how immature PDP rigging in Enugu went:

LGA-Nkanu East.

Total Accredited voters: 7000

Votes cast for governorship: Over 30’000 votes.

Votes cast for Senatorial candidates: Over 25,000 votes.

“This is how PDP Enugu State has made INEC a laughing stock because the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Enugu State who is alleged to have collected 100s of millions of Naira and who since last night has been pressuring the innocent returning officer who want the right thing done in the governorship election to accept the fraudulent result and declare the PDP candidate governor-elect.

“Ndi Enugu let’s all rise to resist this intending criminality.
