The desperation and shamelessness of certain political merchants within the APC have once again exposed the hypocrisy and moral decay behind their brand of politics. Whenever they cannot manipulate the system to suit their selfish interests, they quickly resort to propaganda, intimidation, lies, blackmail and crude political tactics.
It is both laughable and insulting that individuals with records tainted by violence, thuggery and dishonesty now find the audacity to attack respected political juggernauts and statesmen like Chief Olisa Metu (Akajiugo), men who contributed immensely to the political growth of ndị Igbo and Nigeria. Those who built political structures, defended democracy and empowered millions cannot be lectured by opportunists whose only ideology is manipulation and personal gain.
The irony is even more disgraceful. The same people who recently paraded themselves as victims of intimidation are now openly accused of falsifying primary election results. Their actions have exposed the truth: political fraud, deception and coercion are not accidents in their camp, they are their stock in trade.
You cannot preach democracy while destroying due process. You cannot demand credibility while thriving on lies. And you certainly cannot insult accomplished statesmen while dragging around a reputation built on violence, manipulation and dishonesty.
These political conmen are left with little choice than to go and apologise to Akajiugo for their distasteful utterances because as it stands, everyone knows that their political charade and career, have come to its conclusive end
