Speaking at a thanksgiving service organized by Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers,Wike expressed unwavering confidence in his camp’s supremacy in the upcoming 2027 elections. He cited the formidable alliance between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State as a game-changer.
“With the formidable forces at our disposal, I see no contender on the horizon. It’s as if 2027 is just around the corner. Personally, I can hardly wait,” remarked Wike. He highlighted the rare unity between the leadership of both the APC and PDP in Rivers State as a key factor in their unrivaled strength.
“The unity within our ranks is unparalleled. It’s a rarity to witness such cohesion and collaboration between parties. Only in Rivers can you witness such harmony,” he added.
Acknowledging attempts by adversaries to sow discord, Wike emphasized their steadfastness in remaining united. He underscored Rivers State’s unique electoral landscape, where the leading party secures the presidency while the opposition party claims victory in the national assembly elections held simultaneously.
“Our unity is our strength, and despite efforts to sow division, we stand undivided. In Rivers, it’s not uncommon to see the ruling party clinch the presidency while the opposition sweeps the national assembly seats in simultaneous elections,” Wike remarked confidently.
