Tinubu Expresses Condolences on the Passing of Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the ruling Sabah family, the government, and the people of the State of Kuwait following the demise of the Emir, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah. In a statement released on Saturday by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu praised the late Emir for his remarkable achievements in a short period. Describing him as a man of compassion, peace, and mercy, the President highlighted the Emir’s actions, including granting amnesty to political prisoners and dissidents, contributing to the fashioning of a progressive and stable state.

President Buhari also extended his sympathy to the ruling House of Sabah and all those affected by the loss. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Emir mercy and a place in Aljannah Firdaus.

In addition, President Tinubu expressed condolences to the government and people of Borno State over the passing of the Waziri of Borno, Mustapha Mukhtar, who served as the prime minister of Borno and Chief Adviser to the Shehu of Borno. The President conveyed his condolences to the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin Elkanemi, mourning the loss of his close lieutenant and senior palace official.

“The late Waziri lived according to the well-established family tradition of community service, upholding the values of the respected Elkanemi dynasty,” President Tinubu remarked.

President Tinubu concluded by offering prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and solace for those in mourning.
