They Will Surely Pay For What They Did – Ondo State Governor Reacts After The Mass Killing in Catholic Church, Owo, Ogun State.

According to a report by the BELLNEWS Online, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, is deeply saddened by the attack and killing of innocent people of Owo.

Earlier today, a group of unidentified gunmen opened fire on the innocent people worshipping at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, on Sunday.

Ondo State is known as one of the most peaceful states in the country and this unfortunate incident has taken everyone by surprise.

Reacting to the incident, part of the statement from the governor read…

“It is a black Sunday in Owo, Ondo State. Our hearts are heavy. Our peace and tranquility have been attacked by the enemies of the people. This is a personal loss, an attack on our state.”

“I commiserate with my people in Owo, Ondo State, particularly families of all those who lost their lives to this ugly, unfortunate attack today.

I extend my condolences to Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye as well as the Catholic Church where the incident happened..
