Governors from the South-West region have made a condolence visit to the family of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, who passed away at the age of 67 in Germany on Wednesday.
The visit took place at the Akeredolus’ residence in Jerico, Ibadan, Oyo State. Governors in attendance included Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Abiodun Oyebanj of Ekiti, and Ademola Adeleke of Osun.
Dapo Abiodun shared images from the visit on his social media handle and expressed heartfelt condolences during this period of immense grief. He highlighted the remarkable life led by the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, leaving an indelible mark on the pages of history.
“As we navigate through this heartbreaking time, we beseech God to grant Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s soul eternal serenity and tranquility in His tender embrace. May His divine grace bestow comfort upon his sorrowful loved ones, empowering them with the fortitude to bear this irreparable void,” Abiodun stated.
