As part of the ongoing celebrations for the 65th birthday of its founder, the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) has generously donated 1,000 bags of rice and 200 wrappers to the wives of Police officers in the Anambra State Police Command.

During the handover ceremony, Chris Ezike, Chief of Staff to Sir Emeka Offor, praised the philanthropic spirit of the foundation’s founder, highlighting his continuous support for the community, particularly the wives of police officers in the state. Ezike emphasized Sir Emeka Offor’s commitment to sharing his blessings with the people of Anambra State, expressing gratitude that the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) could benefit from this act of kindness.

Reflecting on his personal connection to law enforcement, Sir Emeka Offor shared fond memories of growing up as the son of a policeman, underscoring his deep-rooted respect and admiration for the police force. He commended the efforts of the police in ensuring the safety of Anambra State residents, especially during festive seasons, and expressed his ongoing commitment to supporting the welfare of police officers’ families.

In response, the Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye, extended heartfelt appreciation to the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation for its generous donation. He assured that the police force would continue its efforts to maintain peace and security in the state, with the aim of attracting businesses back to the region.

Additionally, the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation extended its philanthropic reach by providing palliatives to correctional centers across Anambra State. In a separate event, the foundation distributed 400 bags of rice, 1000 cartons of Indomie noodles, and 50 cartons of Izal disinfectant to correctional facilities in Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi, and Aguata.

Chris Ezike reiterated Sir Emeka Offor’s commitment to humanitarian causes, emphasizing the importance of extending support to incarcerated individuals as they work towards rehabilitation. Sir Emeka Offor expressed his desire to make this initiative an annual event, aimed at improving the conditions and prospects of inmates in correctional facilities.

The Controller of the Nigeria Correctional Service in Anambra State, Joseph Usifo Ehimeme, conveyed profound gratitude to Sir Emeka Offor for his benevolence, acknowledging the significant impact of the donation on the welfare of inmates. He assured that the items would be distributed equitably across correctional centers, furthering the foundation’s mission of fostering positive change in society.
