This marks the second time in the 9th Senate that an emergency session has been summoned.

The first instance occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic when funds were swiftly approved to combat the ongoing crisis.

Upon perusing the recently released order paper, two major legislations stand out for consideration today.

The first is the proposed 2022 supplementary budget amendment bill, aimed at making necessary adjustments to the current fiscal plan. The second legislation on the docket is the CBN Act amendment bill, which holds significant implications for the central bank’s operations and policies.

Today is just two days away from the highly anticipated presidential inauguration of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.
