Private Jet Carrying VIPs Crash-Lands in Ibadan

A private jet, carrying approximately 10 individuals, including Very Important Personalities (VIPs), crash-landed in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. The incident occurred around 11 am at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, with the jet, identified by registration number N580KR, veering off the runway into the adjacent bush.

Emergency response teams, including firefighters and rescue personnel from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and all onboard escaped unharmed.

The spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Carol Adekotujo, confirmed that the private plane, originating from Abuja, landed safely but overshot the runway. She reassured that there were no recorded casualties.

While awaiting further details, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, Tunji Oketunmbi, indicated that he would provide additional information but had not done so as of the time of this report.
