The President–General of Umunwanyi Igbo Amaka Global, Her Excellency, Dr ( Mrs.)Oluchukwu Elijah Ojukwu and the entire members of the Foremost Igbo Women Organization has sent a Congratulatory Message to the newly elected President– General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide,Chief( Dr.) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu CFR.
In a Release issued by the President– General of the Women’s Group on Friday,the 5th of May, 2023 on behalf of the Organization, it stated that given the antecedents and landmark achievements of Chief Iwuanyanwu as an Accomplished Statesman, Respected Politician, Successful Businessman and Renowned Philanthropist, they have no doubt that the man of the moment will surely justify the confidence reposed on him by the Igbo Nation.
The statement reads inter-alia:”We the entire members of Umunyanyigbo Amaka both at home and abroad wish to felicitate and congratulate our reverred and highly distinguished Elderstatesman, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu C.F.R on this momentous occasion of his election as the President–General of the apex Igbo Socio–Political Organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo. Chief Iwuanyanwu is a well established Gentleman whose remarkable achievements are already in the public domain.
He hit the limelight in the 70s and 80s when he gave a good account of himself as a youth friendly Businessman; when he displayed so much interest in youth empowerment with the establishment of the famous IWUANYANWU NATIONALE Football Club.
He later raised the bar and standard of Journalism in Nigeria by setting up the Best Selling CHAMPION Newspapers which is still doing well till date. As an Engineer of no mean stature and employer of labour, he has provided thousands of job opportunities for both young and old, Nigerians and Expatriates.” The Foremost Igbo Women Organization which will be holding her 2023 Annual Conference/Merit Award in August this year, further urged him to:”Use your good office to bring about National cohension and channel the Igbo Nation to the mainstream of National integration. We urge you to use your wide contact to also solicit for the release of our son,Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other detained Agitators, so that peace and tranquility will continue to reign in Igboland and every part of the Country.”
The President– General of Umunwanyigbo Amaka Global, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluchukwu Elijah Ojukwu, finally called on every Igbo person to cooperate with the new Igbo Leader in the onerous task of executing his mandate and manisfesto, so that at the end of the day, the Igbo Nation will take back her prime position as the Nation’s Pacesetters.
