The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has revealed that their operatives have arrested some suspects after Oro worshippers clashed with church members.
SP Hundeyin while notifying the general public on his social media page a couple of hours ago said that the Christians were in their church holding a vigil when the Oro worshippers clashed with them.
He said the clash resulted in the death of one person and that it is a murder case. AP Hundeyin believed that the cause of the clash was due to religious intolerance and asks how such can be made not to happen again and make worshippers tolerate other religions.
His post reads, “Oro worshippers clashed with church members holding a vigil. It sadly resulted in the death of one person. It’s clearly a murder case. Suspects have been arrested. But henceforth, how do we ensure religious tolerance in similar cases?”
