The fiasco between the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike seems not to be reaching the climax anytime soon. Just last week, Atiku claimed that there will no longer be any form of negotiation between him and the G5 governors and that they have moved on with the campaign.
Governor Wike on the other hand doesn’t seem to have ended it all with the PDP. Wike while speaking with the former executive governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam and the other PDP governors in his camp. He stated explicitly that Nigerians are waiting for PDP but their leaders are not ready to carry everyone along.
He said, ”I told Suswam that agreement is agreement. Respect agreement and there will be peace and unity. Look, Nigerians are waiting for PDP but show that you want all of us to be involved. Inclusivity is important.
We have a Presidential candidate and the Vice Presidential candidate but that one that we asked for, give us so that everyone will move along. I don’t know what Suswam is telling you but my principle is I take and you take, so that there will be peace.”
