Nigerian Marine Police Search For Two People Flung Into Lagoon During Accident In Lagos

Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) zonal coordinator, South-West who disclosed this in a message noted that the accident happened around 11am at Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Wednesday said that two people, whose identities are yet to be ascertained, were flung into the lagoon during an accident in Lagos State.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) zonal coordinator, South-West who disclosed this in a message noted that the accident happened around 11am at Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island.

Farinloye added that the mobile police had been deployed to begin their rescue operation.

The NEMA official said, “A fatal crash involving a LT 18 SEATER registration number FKJ 872 YA occurred by Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island.

“On a very high speed swerved off the road and hit bridge rails and caused the two passengers flung off into the lagoon. The victims, an adult male and female are being search by the Marine Police.”

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Tuesday said a total of 14 buildings were destroyed by the inferno which occurred at the popular Dosunmu market on Lagos Island, Lagos State.

This incident came barely 24 hours after an inferno razed 14 buildings at the popular Dosunmu market in Lagos State.

“14 buildings directly affected by the fire,” Farinloye said.

The fire also completely razed four of the affected buildings at the market.
