The Lagos State Police Command has taken into custody a woman identified as Dorcas Oluwabukola for allegedly pouring hot water on her husband in Meiran, citing suspicions of infidelity as the motive.
Sources within the Meiran division, preferring anonymity, confirmed the incident and disclosed that upon the conclusion of the investigation, Dorcas would be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department.
The incident, which transpired approximately five days ago, garnered attention on various social media platforms. It was reported that the confrontation leading to the alleged crime was triggered when the husband attended a childhood friend’s wedding without his wife.
The police source assured the public of a thorough investigation, emphasizing that the division is closely monitoring the husband’s recovery. He remains hospitalized following the incident.
Confirming the details, the source stated, “It is true the incident happened. The incident happened about six days ago. It was a true story. She poured hot water on her husband purposely because she felt that he cheated on her.
“They were supposed to go to a party together. However, the husband went all alone. We are still monitoring the progress of the husband because he has been hospitalized since that day. He has not been discharged.”
