Alex Otti Exonerates Tinubu Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Detention, Reveals Plans To Secure Release

The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said President Bola Tinubu’s administration should not be held responsible for the continued incarceration of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Bellnews reports that Otti disclosed this during a media parley in Umuahia, the state capital.

The Governor said his administration is working underground to secure Kanu’s release using a different approach, despite not revealing his efforts to the media.

Otti said the different approach would not be made public until it had yielded the desired results.

He said, “I believe in results rather than media hype. We do not want media noise. We are working very hard to ensure his (Kanu’s) release.

“My personal position is that the new government does not need to inherit the wrong things of the previous administration.”

50 Decomposed, 20 Headless Bodies Discovered At State Market
Meanwhile, Alex Otti has narrated how the government discovered over 50 decomposed dead bodies, over 20 headless bodies and countless human skeletons all around Lokpanta Cattle Market area of Umunneochi LGA, along the Enugu-Umuahia-Aba Port Harcourt Expressway.

The Governor disclosed this during his monthly media chat tagged “Governor Alex Otti Speaks to Abians”, held in Government House, Umuahia on Sunday night.

He assured that his government is committed to tackling the issues of insecurity headlong without minding whose ox is gored.

Governor Otti said that prostitution, narcotics trade and other criminal vices around the Lokpanta Cattle Market necessitated the raid of the market as some brothels were recently brought down and there is now calm in Umunneochi.

The Governor, who insisted that the Lokpanta market would become a daily market that would open at 6 am and close at 6 pm would now become a general market as sections would be allotted to the cattle dealers and other businesses too.
