The Yobe State Police Command, in collaboration with sister security agencies, has announced the arrest of 30 individuals involved in various criminal activities across the state.

DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, spokesperson for the State Police Command, revealed this development in a statement issued on Monday in Damaturu, which was subsequently shared with journalists.

Among the apprehended suspects are Mohammed Garba, 25, and Ibrahim Mohammed, 22, who are accused of fatally stabbing a man during a house break-in intended for theft.

“The Command extends its condolences to the grieving family and assures the community that appropriate measures will be taken against the perpetrators,” stated the PPRO.

Furthermore, it was highlighted that many of the arrested individuals had previously served prison sentences for similar offenses.

Items recovered from the suspects include a knife and five cellphones of various brands.

“Subsequent to their arrest, discreet investigations have commenced for prosecution. The command urges law-abiding members of the communities to assist security agencies by providing valuable information regarding suspicious activities and hideouts of criminals,” added DSP Dungus Abdulkarim.
