Renowned AriseTv Presenter, Oseni Rufai has taken to his official X handle to react to the recent release of over 137 schoolchildren abducted from LEA School Kuriga in the Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
On March 7, 2024, troops received information that terrorists had invaded LEA School Kuriga in Chikun LG of Kaduna State. During the incident, an unconfirmed number of pupils were abducted.
However, while speaking on the release of the pupils, the Director, Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, said the number of the rescued victims stood at 137. He also revealed that the operation was possible with the help of local authorities and government agencies.
While reacting to this, Oseni Rufai wondered why terrorists are not arrested after every rescue mission. In his words, he said, “why is it that after every rescue mission, we don’t hear of the arrest of the terrorist?”
Also, while reacting to the release of the pupils, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assured Nigerians that he would stop at nothing to ensure that all schools are safe for learning.
