
The Member Representing Nnewi North Constituency Anambra State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Youth Development and Sports Hon Augustine Onyekachukwu Ike Ikedoji KSJI, Dip CAM, Dip L.L, B.Phils, B.A Hons, B.Sc, M.A , Ph.D has fully identified with Igwe Nnewi and has refused to back out from the struggle to recover Nnewi from the hands of insignificant minorities milking the town dry and bastardizing the rotation agreement of Nnewi for their personal enrichment.
In a meeting convened by Chief Gabriel Chukwuma ( Nnanyelugi Nnewi) at his residence in Uru Umudim. Ikedoji the most reachable and one of the most educated lawmaker in the entire South East; a lecturer with the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka was in attendance to identify with the majority of Nnewi people who are now living in bondage and seeking solution.
After he listened to the plight of ndi Nnewi during the meeting; especially, as it concerns the negligence to the Royal Father of Nnewi His Royal Highness IGWE Dr. K O.N Orizu III , JP CON; the 100 years old monarch embarrassed by the people who are suppose to protect the local communities; simply because they are staff of the Local Government.
Dr. Ikedoji assured the meeting that they must be strategic and block all ilegalities in Nnewi starting from selling of people’s dully allocated shops in Nkwo Nnewi.
He called on all the affected people to go and revover their allicated space and assured them of his support. After the meeting Ikedoji has activated steps within the limits of the law to set majority of Nnewi people free as part of his duty as elected representative.
Reacting to the submission of Hon Dr. Augustine Onyekachukwu Ike Ikedoji public opinion has shown that the greatest State Government presence in Nnewi was attracted during the tenure of Ikedoji and that he is always available to ndi Nnewi. Reacting from the State House of Assembly correspondent, the press said that Ikedoji is one of the best laemajers and he is always present in plenaries. He described him as a treasure to ndi Nnewi.
