Tinubu Lands In Port Harcourt Ahead Of Project Commissioning

Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, has arrived in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, ahead of a series of project inaugurations in the oil-rich state.

Bellnewsonline.com reports that Governor Nyesom Wike invited Tinubu, who was received by the governor and his entourage on Wednesday morning at the Port Harcourt International Airport. The President-Elect’s jet landed at the airport at 10:03 am on Wednesday.

Wike’s entourage included members of the National and State Assembly, local government chairmen, and government appointees. Supporters of the governor were also present at the airport to welcome Tinubu, as they were allowed into the tarmac area under strict security control. Later in the evening, the President-Elect will be hosted at a state banquet.

In a state broadcast on Tuesday, Governor Wike had declared Wednesday a holiday and urged Rivers residents to come out en masse to welcome Tinubu.
