Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has again caused a stir online after he wrongly named the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that while speaking in Jos, Plateau State, on Tuesday, Tinubu called Simon Lalong “Solomon Lalong”.
“The Director-General of the Presidential campaign council, His Excellency, Solomon Lalong,” Tinubu said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, committed a blunder during the kick-off of his rally as he ended up saying “God bless PD..” before correcting himself.
Critics have questioned Tinubu’s health condition and mental capacity since his entry into the 2023 presidential contest.
Tinubu in October said Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has a vision of turning a “rotten situation to a bad one.”
Last year, the former Lagos governor admitted that he made an error while calling for 50 million youths to be drafted into the Nigerian Army in a bid to adequately tackle the nation’s security challenges.
In a communique by one of his media aides, Tunde Rahman, Tinubu stated that contrary to comments made at the colloquium in Kano State where his 69th birthday was celebrated, the intended recommendation was to have fifty thousand (50,000) youths recruited into various national security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army.
