The publisher of bellnewsonline.com Ikedoji has blast the Federal Government over their “laptop” response to United States of America prediction of terror attack in Nigeria.

According to Sir Augustine Onyekachukwu Ike-Ikedoji that is the craziest piece I have read in recent times. It’s becoming clear that we are begining to see terrorism in Nigeria as a culture and we are boldly justifying it before the world, by defending the terrorist in the most unfortunate manner.

The Federal Government must note that “The human person cannot be relinquished. We cannot relinquish the place in the risible world that belongs to us. We cannot become slaves of things, shires of economic systems, slaves of production, slaves of our own products (even slaves of terrorism; bracket mine). A civilization purely materialistic in outline condemns the human person to such slavery.” – Pope John Paul II, Redemptor Hominus

All over the world civilized people respond to terror threats using deterrents and it’s corollaries at least to restore the confidence of the citizens in the state since our constitution ignorantly granted sovereignty to the state and not the people. If the diplomats are moving out of Nigeria it’s simply because our government is not putting up any visible measures to address the immediate terror challenge; this is irrespective of the fact of whether the terror attack will be happening or not. Ikedoji maintains that Nigeria has so much being destroyed by consumer mentality (consumerism) to the extent that the only thing we can now confidently manufacture is VOCABULARY.

Finally, we are trapped under Francis Bacons Idols of the marketplace. What are the idols of the marketplace?

Idola fori (singular Idolum fori), sometimes translated as “Idols of the Market Place” or “Idols of the Forum”, are a category of logical fallacy which results from the imperfect correspondences between the word definitions in human languages, and the real things in nature which these words represent”.

The government in power is now trapped in a conventional system of thought pattern that the respond to every issue as if it’s coming from opposition parties. How can we explain to our children that the only measure we have against terrorism is reminding the United State of America of school shootings going on in America. Then please reduce our terror attack to mere school shootings and we will proudly tell the world that Nigeria is about the safest place in the world. Or at least let’s have a good response team because after every attack in places like Nnewi today, you have to wait for the DSS to show up, they are about the only active patrol. Funny enough you can move from one end of the city to the other from 9pm won’t be confronted by any security.

Idols of the Marketplace made it clear that for it is by discourse that men associate, and words are imposed according to the apprehension of the vulgar. And therefore the ill and unfit choice of words wonderfully obstructs the understanding.

The words so used by the Federal Government on the Untied States is I’ll conceived and unfit and do not address both the immediate and remote challenges Nigerians are passing through in the hands of terrorists all over the country. The truth is that it’s not about Abuja because those living in Abuja are not superior to those living in Maiduguri, Benue, Jos, Kafanchan, not even in Onitsha and Nnewi, the truth is that nothing guarantees anybody in Nigeria who wakes up very healthy in the morning that he will complete the day alive. Therefore, President Mohammadu Buhari Must Wake Up or Wake Us Up to defend ourselves, Ikedoji concluded
