The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially declared the head coach position for the Super Eagles vacant, as announced on its official channels.

Former coach Jose Peseiro departed from the role at the end of the previous month. During his tenure, he led the team to a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cote d’Ivoire.

While there were speculations regarding ongoing negotiations with Peseiro, the latest decision by the NFF suggests otherwise.

Both local and international coaches who are interested in the position are invited to submit their applications to the NFF.

Furthermore, the NFF has also declared the position of the U-17 coach vacant. Former Super Eagles defender Nduka Ugbade previously held this role.
