An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, was recently interviewed by Seun Okinlanboye of Channels Television concerning some issues bedeviling the country.
Speaking about insecurity, Femi Adesina said, “anything can still happen between the space of one day, week or month (before Buhari leaves Office), so people should stop saying he has failed in security.”
Femi Adesina is strongly of the opinion that since his principal came on board, his promises about fighting corruption, growing the economy and securing the nation have been looked into to some reasonable extent.
He asked, “do you know that insurgency was even technically defeated when the administration just came on board? It just happened that the security situation became hydra-headed.
That was why banditry, kidnapping, cult killings and the rest came to play.”
Femi Adesina made some comments about some politicians of the opposition party saying, “there is nothing they can do that will overpower the majority (members of the ruling party).”
