The funeral service for the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu commenced at St. Andrews Church on Imola Street, marking the beginning of a series of events planned to honor the memory of the former governor.
Akeredolu, a prominent figure in Ondo State’s political and social landscape, left an enduring legacy through his tireless efforts towards the progress and well-being of the state during his tenure.
His passing has garnered widespread attention, with many gathering to pay their respects and commemorate the life of a leader who devoted himself to serving his community.
The burial proceedings, which commenced on Monday, have extended throughout the week, providing various stakeholders, including political associates, family members, and the people of Ondo State, ample opportunity to partake in the mourning process.
Prominent figures attending the service include Vice President Kashim Shettima, Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun, Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and numerous others.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place immediately at the burial site in Owo.
