Nollywood actor cum Labour Party (LP) chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo, has replied the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for mocking the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Bellnews reported that Wike, during an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, described the former Governor of Anambra State as a “social media issue” and could not have been a better president than Bola Tinubu.
The FCT minister said the LP flagbearer would not have handled the Nigerian economy’s major issues better than Tinubu if he had been elected.
The former Governor of Rivers State added if Obi was a better presidential candidate, Nigerians would have voted for him in the February 25, 2023 election.
Responding to Wike, Kenneth Okonkwo, in a post shared on Twitter, claimed that the result of the election uploaded on the IREV Portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shows that Peter Obi won Rivers State.
The movie star said Nigerians are aware that Peter Obi won more states than any other presidential candidate.
Kenneth also recalled how Wike once described the former governor of Anambra State as the hero and winner of the 2023 election, adding the Rivers State result declared by INEC was shamelessly written outside the polling unit.
He tweeted, “From the results uploaded from the IREV Portal of INEC, @PeterObi clearly won Rivers State. The whole world knows that @PeterObi won more states than any other presidential candidate. Nigerians indeed voted for @PeterObi.
“Wike once said that Obi is the hero and true winner of the 2023 presidential election because everyone knows that the presidential election result of Rivers State as declared by INEC was shamelessly written outside the polling units.”
