Sir, Augustine Onyekachukwu Ike-Ikedoji, the Technical Assistant to the YPP State Chairman since 2018 just emerged as the Young Progressive Party (YPP) cabdidate after a careful consideration by the leadership of the party. It was gathered that in a protracted meeting held in Abuja, Sir James Okoye, Sir Nnamdi Udeaja and Mr. Ernest Atuenyi who though was absent aligned with the vision of the party in good fate and withdrew their intentions to contest with Ikedoji.
Bellnewsonline after investigation gathered that the news that Ikedoji is new in YPP is not true as he has being the Technical Assistant to the State Chairman of YPP since 2018 , before Prof. Kingsley Muoghalu joined the party. Sources close to the State Chairman of the party, Prince Moses Obi told our correspondent that the State Chairman revealed that the story of how he remained the State Chairman of YPP will not be complete without mentioning the selfless role played by Sir, Augustine Ike-Ikedoji in 2018.
Sir, Augustine Ike-Ikedoji, holds a Diploma in Computer Appreciation and Maitainance with another Diploma in Latin from the Pontifica Urban University Rome. He equally has a Bachelor of Arts from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and another Bachelor of Philosophy from Urbaniana Pontifica Universitas Roma in Rome. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Don Scotus Institute of Journalism also known as Chinua Achebe Institute of Journalism. Ikedoji has also completed his Masters degree Program in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and planning to complete his first degree in Law.
The emergence of Ikedoji may change the traditional party politics of Nnewi as he has an overwhelming backing of great Nnewi Sons who believe is time to sent an independently minded person and an intellectual to Anambra State House of Assembly to represent ndi Nnewi irrespective of the political party and relative varying interests in Nnewi.
Ikedoji was Editor in Chief Prolife Magazine, Production Manager Witness Magazine, Proof Reader Christian Outlook Newspaper, Editor Diocesan Bulletin Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Editor in Chief Nnewi Rings News Paper, Publisher Ikedoji Best Point News and Bell Newspaper among others he is an Academic Staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University , Awka.
As at the time of filing this report, its gathered that Sir, Augustine Ike-Ikedoji who is a member of the Ancient and Noble Order of the Knight of Saint John Internatiimal is yet to make official press release on this subject matter, but hower, Nnewi indeed will soon breath Fresh Air in Anambra State House of Assembly in 2023.
