Speaking through his defense counsel, the former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has asked the anti-graft agency to obey the subsisting Court judgement to stop arresting and interogating him.

Recall that Senator Rochas Okorocha has been on the news headlines since his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly misappropriating state funds.

According to eyewitness reports, operatives of the anti-corruption agency have on Tuesday laid seven-hour siege on Abuja residence of the Imo West senator before breaking into the house and arresting him – whisking him away to their custody.

Rochas Okorocha told the Commission thatit I obligatory for it to comply with the verdict of Justice Dalyop Pam. The verdict which was passed on the 6th of December, 2021, prevents the EFCC from investigating or arresting the serving senator.

Meanwhile, the Federal High Court Abuja has denied Rochas Okorocha bail. The presiding judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, told the Court that there is no need granting Okorocha bail since the hearing will resume on Monday.
