President Tinubu arrived at the Doha International Airport in Qatar on Thursday night, where he was warmly received by representatives from both the Nigerian and Qatari governments.

The purpose of President Tinubu’s visit is to enhance collaboration between Nigeria and Qatar across various sectors, including security, cultural exchange, and economic advancement.

The trip comes in response to an invitation extended by His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, as confirmed in a statement by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Wednesday night.

During his stay, President Tinubu is scheduled to oversee the signing of several agreements aimed at bolstering Nigeria’s real sector and promoting value-added investments in trade, education, culture, solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, and gas. Additionally, the visit aims to strengthen collaboration on counter-terrorism efforts.

Furthermore, President Tinubu will take part in a business and investment forum designed to facilitate discussions between high-ranking officials from both the private and public sectors of Nigeria and Qatar. The forum seeks to explore cross-sectoral opportunities for mutual growth and development.

Accompanying the President on the trip is a 38-member delegation comprising senior government officials who will participate in the signing of these agreements.
