Prof. Ikemefuna Chijioke Uzochukwu is a PROFESSOR in PHARMACEUTICAL AND MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY Department, Faculty Of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Prof Uzochukwu is a Licensed Pharmacist, certified Public Analyst (IPAN), certified Supply Chain Analyst and Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, teaching and doing research in Nigeria.
He focuses on capacity building especially in the area of drug design for neglected tropical diseases, emerging infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus and sickle cell disease etc.
He is a winner of several grants which include, World Bank, UNESCO, UNIDO and TETFUND funded grants.
He was Former Dean of that Faculty.
He hails from Akwaeze in Anaocha LGA
And happily married to Prof Mrs Chinwe Uzochukwu, also Professor in Department of Mass Communication, NAU.
