The Presidency has reacted to the latest court decision in a case involving President Bola Tinubu.

Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, taunted presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) respectively, following their unsuccessful attempt to obtain information about Tinubu from a US court.

Onanuga sarcastically noted that Atiku, Obi, and their associate Aaron Greenspan had failed in their efforts to compel a US court to release President Tinubu’s FBI record. He stated that the conspirators’ bid had once again ended in failure.

The US District Court of Columbia had rejected an emergency motion filed by Aaron Greenspan, who sought to force various US agencies, including the CIA, FBI, and IRS, to disclose information about Tinubu. Greenspan had argued that the documents were needed for Atiku and Obi’s appeals in the Nigerian Supreme Court.

However, Judge Beryl A. Howell denied Greenspan’s request, ruling that he had not met the necessary conditions for an emergency hearing. The judgment rendered Greenspan’s effort to obtain information about Tinubu futile in the US court.
