Peter Obi has emerged as the winner of the labour party’s presidential primary after one of the major contenders, Pat Utomi stepped down for him during the national convention in Asaba, Delta state, Nigeria.
Before now, Peter Obi who defected from the people’s democratic party and Pat Utomi were the top contenders for the labour party’s 2023 presidential ticket.
During his speech, Pat Utomi endorsed the candidacy of Peter Obi and stepped down for him.
Pat Utomi’s action has been hailed by party leaders and other delegates that are loyal to the former governor of Anambra state.
You should recall that Peter Obi was one of the major contenders for the presidential ticket on the platform of the people’s democratic party before his defection just few days to the primary election.
