Victor Osimhen, the reigning male African Footballer of the Year, dominates the nominations in four categories at the upcoming 10th Nigeria Pitch Awards. This announcement came on Thursday from the organizers of the awards during a well-attended Press Conference in Lagos, where the nominations were unveiled by SIAO Partners, the voter collation agent.

The Nigeria Pitch Awards, which extend recognition beyond the pitch, also honor individuals and entities contributing significantly to the sport’s development. Notably, the Sam Okwaraji Award, named after the legendary footballer, recognizes individuals who epitomize patriotism and selflessness.

Among the nominees are Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface, and the reigning African Women Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, who top the list unveiled by the organizers of Nigeria’s longest-running football awards.
