The National Television Authority (NTA) has announced its successful acquisition of the exclusive broadcasting rights for all African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 matches. This comes after Multichoice, the owners of DSTV and Super Sports, failed to secure the rights for the highly anticipated tournament.

In a concise statement shared on its X, formerly Twitter handle, NTA revealed, “NTA signs memorandum of understanding with Afro Sports for transmission of 52 matches of Africa Cup of Nations in Cot D’ivoire.”

This groundbreaking deal ensures that NTA will broadcast all 52 matches of the AFCON tournament, providing football enthusiasts with comprehensive coverage of the continental football extravaganza. The 34th edition of AFCON is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 13 January 2024, and conclude on Sunday, 11 February 2024, taking place in the football-rich nation of Cote d’Ivoire.

The collaboration between NTA and Afro Sports marks a significant milestone, solidifying their partnership through a memorandum of understanding that guarantees an electrifying broadcast of every moment of the AFCON competition. Football fans can now anticipate an immersive viewing experience on NTA as they witness the thrilling matches of this prestigious tournament.
