Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully eliminated the notorious terrorist leader, Boderi Isyaku, in a fierce gun battle between troops and bandits around the Bada/Riyawa general areas of Chikun and Igabi Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
The confirmation of Boderi Isyaku’s demise was made by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Thursday, as reported by PremiumTimes.
Boderi Isyaku was responsible for masterminding and executing the abduction of 39 students from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Igabi LGA, on the 11th of March, 2021.
In a statement, it was highlighted, “Thanks to the unwavering support of Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, a significant breakthrough has been achieved in Nigeria’s fight against banditry and terrorism.”
“The notorious bandit and ruthless killer, Boderi Isyaku, met his end in a fierce gun duel alongside some of his cohorts, courtesy of troops of the Nigerian Army, operating around Bada/Riyawa general areas of Chikun and Igabi LGAs,” the statement added.
Mr. Aruwan further elaborated that the accomplishment was verified to the state government by security forces engaged in internal security operations, along with thorough assessments from human intelligence sources.
“Boderi, as he was commonly known, had instilled fear, death, and devastation in Kaduna State and neighboring Niger State for nearly a decade. His modus operandi involved brutal attacks, mass abductions, and merciless killings,” the statement emphasized.
