The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State, have pledged their support and allegiance for Sir Augustine Ikedoji who is contesting to represent Nnewi North in the Anambra State House of Assembly in the forthcoming election. Speaking on the endorsement, the Assistant Director, Contact/ Mobilization of Sir Ikedoji Campaign Council, Hon. Amobi Okonkwo ( Anunebe Nnewi), said:”As the election is drawing closer, we are gaining more support and endorsements from the general public, from groups,organisations and individuals. Today we are here to witness another support from the All Progressives Congress Youth Leaders in Nnewi North.
They are all here to pledge their support and allegiance for Sir Ikedoji, the YPP House of Assembly Candidate for Nnewi North. We are so happy that the tunnel is becoming brighter by the day to the glory of God.”
On his message to the people of Nnewi North, he replied:”I’m very convinced that from what I’m seeing today, that Sir Ikedoji will have his way. I call on them to come out enmass as they did before to vote for Sir Ikedoji. It’ll be a win- win for all of us and a win- win for all progressive minded persons in Nnewi”. On how qualified he is, he explained:”I’ve said it before that all the Party Candidates flying their different Party Tickets are qualified, but Sir Ikedoji is the most qualified, taking cognisance of his academic background, his character, his competence and capacity.
He is fearless and when we are talking about Legislation, we are talking about someone who will go and speak on our behalf. He has the qualities of a good Legislator. He is someone who has the intellectual sagacity to massively develop Nnewi. He also has the contact. Without mincing words: Sir Ikedoji Is the best among all the Contestants.”
On his charge to the masses, he answered:. ” I’m telling them that on Saturday, all of us should be at our various polling units to do as we’ve done before. We have experienced the good leadership of the YPP at the National Level from Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah. From that connectivity and spirit of development, I believe that Sir Ikedoji will do his best at the State House of Assembly.”
In his contribution, the Secretary of the Ikedoji Campaign Council,Mr. Udeh Kingsley, charged the constituents to come out enmass on Saturday the 18th of March to vote the Candidate of the YPP. In his words.” Our Candidate is the best among all the Contestants and I so much believe in him and his capacity, having served as the PRO of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, where he proved his mettle, I have no doubt that he will do excellently well. I urge each and everyone of us to tow this progressive line, so that we can get that which Nnewi has been looking for over the years. I plead with every Nnewi resident,both Indigenes and Non Indigenes to support our Candidate,Sir Augustine Ike Ikedoji of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to win this election. Thank you.”
