In the most recent FIFA rankings released on Wednesday, Nigeria has secured the third position among the top football teams in Africa. Morocco and Senegal clinched the first and second spots, respectively.
The rankings, available on the FIFA website, indicate that the North African teams of Egypt and Tunisia secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Despite Algeria’s exit from the Africa Cup of Nations in the group stage after a surprising defeat against Mauritania on January 23, they are ranked sixth on the list.
