A notorious kidnap kingpin, John Lyon, popularly known as ‘Lyon’ has been arrested in Abuja by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
Bellnewsonline.com understands that the suspect, who was traced and arrested in Abuja, is among the kidnap gangs terrorising Bayelsa State and its environs.
In a viral video, Lyon confessed that he has only participated in the abduction of two people, adding that he was not the ring leader of the crime syndicate.
The kidnap suspect pleaded for forgiveness from security operatives and an indicter, saying his wife just delivered a baby.
Details of his arrest are still sketchy as of the time of filing its report.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to express their reactions to the arrest of the notorious kidnapper.
