Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, made an appearance at the May Day rally in Abuja’s Eagle Square.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that the presidential candidate was greeted with cheers by the workers in attendance as he took to the podium alongside Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, and other labour leaders.
The rally, held on May 1st, 2023, was part of the annual celebration of International Workers’ Day and was attended by numbers of workers from across the country.
