Spokesperson of the Obi-Datti presidential campaign council, Kenneth Okonkwo has revealed why the OBIdient plane used for campaign by the presidential candidate of the labour party, Peter Obi, his running mate, Datti and the presidential campaign team was grounded just a few moments to their campaign in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state.
According to Kenneth Okonkwo, the jet was grounded for regulatory reasons, stressing that some documents needed to be updated before it could be put to further use. Upon notification, Kenneth Okonkwo stated that Peter Obi advised them to comply with the law.
Kenneth Okonkwo also noted that there was a political undertone to the development, wondering why the plane was grounded just in the morning of their campaign rally in Ibadan.
You will recall that the OBIdient plane used by Peter Obi and his campaign team was recently grounded and they were not able to use the plane to Ibadan for the rally.
Kenneth Okonkwo stated ” it was grounded for regulatory reasons. There was unfortunate issue of documentation not updated”.
