Yesterday, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, announced that he would deliver over 90,000 votes to Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

After casting his ballot at Unit 1 Ward 2 in Iwo town, Iwo Local Government, the monarch made this statement.

Oluwo of Iwoland had vowed to deliver for the ruling party and its candidate in Osun’s ongoing race for governor.

Although he stated that traditional rulers are not supposed to be partisan, he stated, “My fondness for Oyetola stems from his fast payment of worker salaries.”

I’m convinced that I can achieve 90,000 votes. It is difficult for the governor to depart from the status quo and act morally.

His salary has been paid in full. Osun is a state dominated by civil servants, whose citizens depend on salaries.

“He has been paying inherited debt and has not spent the money frivolously.”

I have instructed my constituents to vote for the APC, and they will do so. The governor is performing admirably. I believe that the individual doing an excellent job should continue. I want everyone to vote without incident. ”

Oluwo of Iwoland argues that vote-buying in Nigerian democracy cannot be stopped as long as politicians control the system.

Oluwo of Iwoland remarked that the threat could not be eliminated unless the government did what was necessary and permitted the people to experience the benefits of democracy.

“Vote buying presents a threat to democracy. The populace lacks optimism. They are obtaining as much as they can. It is a dire circumstance. We do not know when to exit the situation.

The new types of politicians will help us get out of this mess, but the people are starving. They require nourishment. “Vote buying must end until we see actual democratic dividends,” he stated.

“My domain is quiet. I advised them that no one should remain at home. They must demonstrate their voting strength. We wish to exhibit our strength. “Nobody should watch television at home.”
