The surprising news which would shock most Nigerians is going to be a merger between Labour Party’s Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
However, there are speculations that the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi and that of his counterpart in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, might merge together in other to be able to win the presidential election in 2023.
This latest development was confirmed by the spokesperson of National Consultative Forum, Yinusa Tanko, while speaking in an interview which was monitored by Arise TV.
Tanko, who spoke categorically about the development further disclosed that the merging together of the two parties will be a good news to many Nigerians as they would be able to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his words he said, “We are already working toward merging Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to defeat APC in 2023.
Peter Obi is very grounded in the southern part and Rabiu Kwankwaso is also strong in the north.
Merging together the both of them would be a very good thing and we are seriously working towards that.”
