In a tragic turn of events, a second-year student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, UNIZIK, identified only as Chioma, is alleged to have poured boiling water on the hostel president, Mark, following a dispute.
The distressing incident unfolded on Saturday, February 17th, at Twins Fall Lodge in Ifite-Awka, reportedly stemming from a disagreement over hostel cleanliness.
Eyewitness Valentine Mbadugha recounted the shocking ordeal, mentioning that Chioma also inflicted stab wounds on Mark as he was being escorted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
Despite the severity of the assault, there has been no official action taken by the school management, as the incident remains unreported by the students.
